BACKGROUND

We created Black Solar to accelerate Canada's investment in Solar Carports - a new application of a proven technology that has been successfully deployed in other markets. 

Solar power has been around for decades and has become one of the lowest cost forms of power generation. 

Canada has both favourable solar conditions and a substantial amount of surface parking lot area - presenting an opportunity to leverage this underutilized resource. Our goal is to optimize this resource through the development of Solar Carports.  Where opportunities arise we will also install Rooftop Solar on co-located buildings to further enhance project economics and make better use of this space.
